About the Role

Life Without Barriers is seeking an experienced Contract & Finance Performance Manager to provide senior leadership and business partnering across contract & financial performance for our Child Youth & Family Division, including National Immigration Support Services.

This is an opportunity to use your expertise in contract & financial performance management to make a meaningful impact, ensuring our services meet contractual requirements, maximise funding outcomes and deliver sustainable, high-quality services for the people we support.

You will lead a team responsible for proactively identifying and resolving funding and contract matters, while working closely with operational and corporate teams to ensure contractual and financial requirements are understood and achieved.

You will build strong internal and external relationships while providing expert advice on contractual & financial performance matters.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead, coach and develop a team to achieve business, funding and performance outcomes.
  • Monitor and report on contractual requirements, funding arrangements and KPIs, identifying opportunities to maximise funding and recover service delivery costs.
  • Provide expert advice on financial contracts, compliance, contractual obligations and risk, and support contract negotiations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, funding bodies and key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Partner with Finance and operational teams to ensure accurate financial and client data, reporting, invoicing and record management, including oversight of relevant property processes.
  • Support with resolving complex funding and contractual matters, and contribute to consistent processes, reform and continuous improvement across the organisation.

Experience Required:

You are an experienced and strategic leader who combines strong contract management and financial acumen with a sound understanding of the community services environment.

Importantly, you will have demonstrated experience managing grant and/or fee-for-service funding within the community services or government sector, with the ability to understand funding requirements and translate them into effective operational and financial practices.

You will bring:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business Management, Finance or a similar discipline, with experience in complex contract management.
  • Demonstrated experience managing grant and/or fee-for-service funding within the community services or government sector, including strong financial and commercial understanding.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to lead, influence and collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven experience building and managing relationships with government agencies, funding bodies, accrediting bodies and other external stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian community services policy, legislation and regulatory requirements, with the strategic thinking and ability to drive state or national initiatives.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, strong Microsoft Office capability, and a commitment to child-safe, respectful and inclusive practices.
