About the role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will be dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of individuals. We are seeking candidates who are available to work in Ipswich and South Ripley. We have casual positions available where you will provide active, person-centred support to people with disabilities in our Supported Independent Living Program (SIL).

Our ideal candidate will have experience with Positive Behaviour Support Plans and with managing challenging behaviours. We are looking for candidates with experience in the Disability industry who are eager to make a difference and help the people we support live their best lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting clients with mental health needs
  • Delivering social and behavioural support that promotes independence, confidence, and positive outcomes.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with our clients and their families
  • Assisting with daily living tasks and personal care
  • Commitment to a 24/7 roster, including sleepover shifts & weekends

 Skills & Experience

  • Experience in challenging behaviours and complex needs
  • Experience supporting people with mental health conditions
  • A commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs, skills, abilities, and personal goals of people with disabilities
  • Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR Certificate (HLTAID009)
  • Current unrestricted driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
