About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will be providing person-centred active support to people living with disability. Supported Independent Living (SIL) is supporting people with disability in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living assistance.

We are currently looking to fill 2 permanent part time position. You must be available for all shifts in your preferred line:

Line 1:

Week 1

Friday 3pm to 11:30pm

Saturday 12pm to 8pm

Sunday 9am to 4pm

Week 2

Tuesday 2pm to 8pm

Wednesday 10:30am to 8pm

Thursday 3pm to 11:30pm

Friday 11:30pm to 9:30am

Sunday 11:30pm to 9:30am

Line 2:

Week 1

Monday 11:30pm to 9:30am

Tuesday 11:30pm to 9:30am

Saturday 7am to 11am

Sunday 7am to 11am

Week 2

Wednesday 9am to 3:30pm

Friday 10:30am to 2:30pm

Sunday 7am to 11am

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily routines including manual handling, domestic assistance and personal care
  • Empower clients by promoting choice, independence, and participation
  • Community engagement including riding a bike and bushwalking
  • Promote client choice and independence in all interactions

Skills & Experience

  • Dementia and behaviour support required
  • An unrestricted New South Wales driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop
  • A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011

Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
