About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker in Nowra you will provide daily living supports to people living with disabilities so they can achieve their personal goals and maintain a high standard of living. We have Casual opportunities available, where the successful candidate will need availability to work across a 24/7 roster.

We provide Supported Independent Living (SIL), Lifestyle and Day Program supports in Nowra. The successful candidate will have availability to work active nights and sleepover shifts, as well as shorter 2 to 3 hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow person-centred support and behaviour plans
  • Provide assistance with daily personal activities
  • Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities
  • Maintain thorough record keeping
  • Build positive relationships with clients, families and colleagues
  • Advocate for client choice and control

Skills & Experience

  • Ability to connect, enjoy variety, and believe in making every day meaningful
  • An unrestricted Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Committed to work flexible hours across the week, including public holidays
  • Ability to use technology and software on a mobile and desktop
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate

Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check, Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
