About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will be providing person-centred active support to people living with disability. Supported Independent Living (SIL) is supporting people with disability in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living assistance.

We are currently looking to fill 1 permanent part time position. You must be available for all shifts listed below:

Line 1

Week 1

Monday 11:30pm to 09:00am

Friday 2:30pm to 6pm

Week 2

Tuesday 6:00am to 9:30am

Thursday 6:00am to 9:30am

Friday 2:30pm to 6pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Encourage gardening and outdoor activities on the acreage property
  • Positive behaviour support
  • Community access support including going to the movies, bowling
  • Engage in active hobbies including going to the gym
  • Promote client choice and independence in all interactions

Skills & Experience

  • Ability to think outside the box and creative with outdoor activities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop
  • An unrestricted New South Wales driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011

Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
