SCHADS Award Level 3.1 Casual | $50.61 per hour + 12% Superannuation
Salary packaging benefits available – up to $15,900 per year
Shift work required including nights, weekends and sleepovers
Shifts include 8:00am–4:00pm and 4:00pm–8:00am

About the Role

As a Youth Worker, you will provide support, supervision and care to children and young people, helping them feel safe, valued and connected.

You will:

  • Build trusting and professional relationships with young people.
  • Support young people to develop life skills, confidence and independence.
  • Encourage participation in activities, decision-making and goal setting.
  • Support positive connections with family, peers and important people in their lives.
  • Complete documentation and contribute to quality care outcomes.

This is a casual shift work role requiring availability across a range of shifts, including evenings, overnight shifts, weekends and sleepovers.

You will need to be comfortable transporting young people as required, with a reliable vehicle, comprehensive insurance and unrestricted driver’s licence.

Skills & Experience

To work as a Youth Worker in Queensland, you must:

  • Have completed or be actively enrolled in a relevant qualification.
  • Hold an unrestricted (Open) Driver’s Licence.
  • Hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or be willing to obtain prior to commencement).
  • Have a reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance.

Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable people is highly regarded.

  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
  • Licenced Care Service Check (LCS)
