                    Role: House Manager - Intensive Therapeutic Care

                    Employment Type: Permanent Full Time

                    Location: Dubbo

In this role, you’ll work alongside a Case Manager and Therapeutic Specialist to create a safe, supportive, and structured environment for young people in residential care.

You’ll be responsible for overseeing daily operations, supporting and mentoring staff, and young people to develop independent living skills, engage in education and remain positively connected to their team of Care Workers, Families, and broader community connections. 

This team supports a young person aged 16 years old. Their interests include a love of video games and football. Our ideal candidate must have experience connecting with young people who have received neurodevelopmental diagnosis. An ability to build trust and rapport will be critical to your success in this position.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity working Monday to Friday with one administration day allocated. There will be a requirement to participate in an on-call roster once a month covering one week at a time. An on-call allowance is provided per the SCHADS award.

Role requirements:

  • A Diploma of Community Services, Youth work or related (A qualification is desirable but not essential for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants with relevant experience)
  • Previous Leadership or extensive Therapeutic Support Work experience in services that support young people, such as OOHC, ITC, Mental Health and Disability settings
  • Ability to provide supervision and support to a team of Therapeutic Care Workers, to embed the delivery of therapeutic models of support to Young People.
  • Current First Aid (HLTAID003 or HLTAID011)
  • Current Drivers Licence
