About the Role

Joining our team in Success and surrounding southern suburbs of Perth on a casual basis, you will support various people with disability who access our in home and community access services. We are looking for candidates who are able to quickly build positive relationships and are enthusiastic about providing active support and getting involved in the varying interests of the people we are supporting. This may range from getting involved in gaming, playing basketball, other sports and arts and crafts.

The successful candidate will have a passion for working with people with disability and confidence in working with behaviours of concern and providing personal care if required. You must be able to commit to a variety of shifts including short 3-4 hours shifts with availability on weekdays in particular Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays.

  • Provide personal care
  • Follow person-centred support and behaviour plans
  • Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities
  • Maintain thorough record keeping
  • Build positive relationships with clients, families and colleauges
  • Advocate for client choice and control

Skills & Experience

  • Experience working with people with disability
  • Previous experience working with behaviour support plans
  • Experience with personal care and manual handling
  • Strong computer and verbal and written communication skills
  • An unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Clearance.
