About the role

Permanent full time position that can be located anywhere in Australia where you have full flexibility to work from home or one of our offices. 

This role places you at the centre of how data, analytics, and insight enable the organisation to operate at scale and make better decisions. As the Data Platforms & Analytics Manager, you will be accountable for the reliability, evolution, and effective use of the organisation’s enterprise data platforms and analytics capabilities.

You will combine strong technical and analytical judgement with practical leadership, ensuring data platforms are trusted, secure, scalable, and fit for purpose. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of data engineers, analysts, data governance and platform specialists, enabling the delivery of high-quality analytics and data products that support reporting, automation, AI, and digital initiatives across the organisation.

Reporting to the Head of Digital, Data & AI, you will translate business priorities and analytics use cases into clear delivery plans and platform roadmaps. You will balance delivery momentum with long-term platform stewardship, managing risk, technical debt, and vendor dependencies while ensuring data is reliable and usable for frontline and corporate decision-making. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day operation and evolution of enterprise data platforms and analytics capabilities
  • Translate business and analytics needs into prioritised delivery plans and platform roadmaps
  • Lead and develop a high-performing data and analytics team through clear direction, coaching, and support
  • Ensure data platforms and analytics products are reliable, secure, and production-ready
  • Manage data quality, platform risks, technical debt, and operational incidents
  • Embed practical data governance, privacy, and security controls into platforms and analytics solutions
  • Partner with stakeholders to communicate progress, risks, and outcomes clearly
  • Drive continuous improvement in data platform practices, analytics delivery, and value realisation

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience delivering and operating enterprise data platforms and analytics solutions
  • Strong understanding of data architectures, integration patterns, and analytics enablement
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary data or analytics teams in complex environments
  • Demonstrated accountability for delivery outcomes, platform reliability, and data quality
  • Working knowledge of data governance, privacy, and security requirements
  • Strong problem-solving, prioritisation, and decision-making capability
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check.
