About the role

This is a challenging but rewarding opportunity for you to make a positive change in the lives of People with a Disability.  

We are seeking skilled and experienced Disability Support Workers to fill multiple permanent part-time and casual positions, available across our 24/7 supported residential homes supporting people with disabilities living in the community of Collie.

Working in a team, you will be actively supporting their individual complex needs by creating a safe environment and ensuring services are provided in a culturally appropriate way. 

These roles will require successful applicants to be available and willing to work within a 24/7 roster that includes regular shift work, including night shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assistance with daily living
  • Documenting and Progress Note keeping
  • Provide behavioural support and follow behaviour management plans
  • Full personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming
  • Medication assistance
  • Safe wheelchair transfers and transportation

 Skills & Experience

  • Unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence
  • Current Provide First Aid Certificate and CPR
  • Certificate III Individual Support or similar, and relevant mental health experience
  • A commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs, skills, abilities and personal goals of people with disabilities.
  • The ability to develop a positive relationship with clients and to support their Individual Personal Plan
  • Previous experience supporting People with Disability, behaviours of concern/or mental health, including providing support for complex High Intensity Daily Personal Activities (HIDPA)

Successful candidates will be required to undertake probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and hold NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
