About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will be providing person-centred active support to people living with disability on the Central Coast. Supported Independent Living (SIL) is supporting people with disability in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living assistance.

We are currently looking to fill 3 permanent part time positions. You must be available for one of the following:

Line 1

Week 1

Tuesday 3pm to 6am (sleepover)

Wednesday 3pm to 9am (sleepover)

Friday 6am to 9am

Week 2

Monday 4pm to 7:30pm

Tuesday 3pm to 6am (sleepover)

Wednesday 3pm to 9am (sleepover)

Saturday 8am to 4pm

Sunday 7:30am to 5:30pm

Line 2

Week 1

Monday 3pm to 9am (sleepover)

Wednesday 6am to 9am

Friday 7am to 10am

Sunday 7:30am to 5:30pm

Week 2

Monday 3pm to 9am (sleepover)

Wednesday 6am to 9am

Friday 6am to 9am

Monday 2pm to 7:30pm

Wednesday 7am to 10am

Thursday 3pm to 6am (sleepover)

Friday 3pm to 8pm (sleepover)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide behavioural support and follow behaviour management plans
  • Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and medication prompting
  • Engage in client hobbies such as walks, swimming, bowling, and dancing
  • Promote client choice and independence in all interactions
  • Community access support including lunch outings and sipping iced coffees
  • Maintain a structured routine while being flexible and adaptable to meet clients’ needs and preferences

Skills & Experience

  • An unrestricted New South Wales driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop
  • A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011

Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
