About the Role

Employment Type: Maximum Term Contract (12 months), with possibility of extension

Attendance: Full Time, 38 hours per week.

Office Location: Dandenong VIC, with flexibility to work from office and home.

About the Role

Due to the expansion of our services nationally, we are seeking a dedicated Intake Case Coordinator to join our growing team. This role focuses on supporting clients under the Status Resolution Support Services (SRSS) program and individuals affected by forced marriage under our Forced Marriage Specialist Support Program (FMSSP).

As the first point of contact for referrals, the Intake Case Coordinator plays a critical role in conducting comprehensive assessments, identifying client needs, and facilitating streamlined access to services. Working within a national framework, you will manage referrals from across the country.

In this role you will:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to determine client eligibility
  • Collect and verify relevant documentation to support client intake and program application for SRSS.
  • Assist clients with referrals to appropriate community supports and resources
  • Ensure client safety by performing risk assessments, creating safety plans and accurate record keeping
  • Build strong relationships with clients and their families, using strengths-based, trauma-informed and culturally sensitive approaches
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to coordinate referrals and ensure smooth transitions into ongoing case management.

Skills & Experience

  • Relevant qualification in a Human Services related field and/or equivalent experiences
  • Demonstrated experience in intake, assessment, or case coordination roles—preferably with SRSS, asylum seekers, or family/domestic violence contexts.
  • Ability to perform comprehensive assessments in areas such as finances, health, housing, social needs, vocational skills, and education.
  • Experience managing clients with complex physical and mental health issues
  • Working understanding of current casework practices for Culturally and linguistically diverse clients.
  • Strong and effective stakeholder management experience. 
    Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and any relevant stated based checks.
