About the Role

As an Aged Care Home & Community Assistant you will provide personalised support to older Australians in Mackay and surrounding suburbs, helping them to continue living independently in their own homes. We have a Permanent Part Time opportunity available. Your working hours will be in between 7am to 7pm, no sleepover shifts required. This role requires a willingness to travel, as you will be performing back-to-back, short shifts while supporting multiple clients each day.

Key Responsibilities

• Domestic assistance such as meal preparation and light house cleaning
• Community access to medical appointments and social activities
• Personal Care including grooming and showering
• Supporting with tasks and routines
• Build positive relationships with clients

Skills & Experience

• An Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle with minimum third-party insurance.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
• A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment)

Successful candidates will be required to undertake relevant pre-employment checks to ensure the safety of our clients. This includes a National Criminal History Record Check and complete an Aged Care Statutory Declaration.
