About the Role
Joining a national rostering team, you will support the aged care workforce by leading a small team of roster officers, that play a key role in ensuring the effective and sustainable management to best meet the needs of the people we support.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in rostering or scheduling, an ability to interpret awards and legislation relevant to rostering, strong customer service and experience in providing leadership, advice, guidance, and mentorship to rostering staff.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity which can be based from any office within our national footprint with hybrid work from home options available.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Monitor, review and manage work completed by Roster Officers as required
- Monitor, coach, support, motivate and develop team members to enable them to deliver to the best of their ability
- Promote a positive environment by working cooperatively, demonstrating good communication and interpersonal skills and appropriate peer support
- Supervise and utilise the rostering and scheduling systems to best meet customer requirements and to promote a sustainable workforce.
- Work with managers to develop and implement strategic and operational plans to manage and improve rostering
- Adhere to organisational and legislative Health, Safety and Environment requirements
Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in a rostering or scheduling role
- Previous leadership experience
- Proficiency in the use of rostering tools and systems (Alaya Care experience highly advantageous)
- Experience in providing advice and support to stakeholders (including mangers and staff) on roster related matters
- Strong customer service, written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of workforce management principles and the ability to interpret and apply relevant awards and legislations
- Previous experience in providing coaching, guidance, and mentorship to rostering staff
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and a statutory declaration.
