About the Role

You will provide personalised support to our QCSS (Queensland Community Support Scheme) clients within their homes in Rockhampton. You will be required to travel to support multiple clients each day (travel between clients will be reimbursed with .99 cents per kilometre travelled while you work back in your pocket).

This is a Casual opportunity with working hours available between 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, no evening or sleepover shifts. There is some flexibility for hours to be within school hours. This role will provide Domestic Assistance only with a view to provide further services in future, including personal care and community supports. It is a great opportunity for someone who has recently completed their Certificate III to gain experience and start work in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Domestic assistance such as light cleaning and housework
  • Assist clients to improve their independence according to their identified needs and goals
  • Establish a rapport and collaborate effectively with clients and their family

Skills & Experience

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability or similar)
  • QLD Working with Children Check (Blue Card)  
  • Excellent organisational skills, hygiene practices and problem-solving abilities
  • An Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle with minimum third-party insurance
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment)

Successful candidates will be required to undertake relevant pre-employment checks to ensure the safety of our clients. This includes a National Criminal History Record Check, QLD Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and an Aged Care Statutory Declaration.
