About the Role

Joining our Lifestyles (home care support) team, you will provide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities in their own homes, with travel between clients and working short, split shifts required.

To provide best support you will have experience in providing high intensity daily personal activities (including complex bowel care) and manual handling (including hoist transfers).

This is a permanent part time opportunity; to be considered for the role you must be able to commit to at least 3 of the following shifts available across the week:

  • 11pm to 6am (Active Night) in Dee Why on Monday, Tuesday and Sundays
  • 9pm to 9:30pm in Manly, split shift with 11pm to 6am (active night) in Dee Why on Wed, Thu, Fri and Sat

Note, you will be reimbursed 0.99 cents per kilometre travelled between client sessions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide High Intensity Daily Personal Activities (including complex bowel care)
  • Assist with hoist transfers
  • Assistance with daily living (including personal care)
  • Domestic assistance (support with household chores)
  • Maintain and monitor person-centred plans
  • Documenting and progress note keeping

Skills & Experience

  • Experience providing High Intensity Daily Personal Activities (HIDPA)
  • Experience working within a home care setting
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Confidence and experience in manual handling and personal care
  • Australian Drivers Licence and reliable, insured vehicle 
  • Current First Aid and CPR
  • Willing to complete basic household chores
  • Passionate about delivering Person-Centred care
