About the role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Operations Manager to oversee our Forced Marriages Specialist Support Program (FMSSP). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex, trauma-informed services, particularly in the areas of domestic and family violence.

As an Operations Manager in FMSSP, you will provide support to the case management team who work intensively with individuals, families and communities involved in the FMSSP. You will lead and develop a team in a newly established program and hold responsibility across multiple different program areas to ensure the team meets program specific goals.

This is a permanent full-time position based in Sunshine (VIC) or Parramatta (NSW) with work from home flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support team to achieve the business plan outcomes and other organisational programs and initiatives.
  • Ensure delivery of program services in accordance with program budgets, Business Plans and in line with client needs and plans
  • Ensure the appropriate management of risks and issues arising in the course of service management in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and develop positive and professional working relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
  • Participate in community awareness activities to promote understanding and prevention of Forced Marriages

 Skills & Experience

  • Degree qualification in Human Services or related discipline.
  • Experience developing quality case plans or individual plans
  • Demonstrated experience working autonomously with multiple clients simultaneously
  • Experience working with individuals, families or groups from a culturally appropriate perspective
  • High level communication, influencing, liaison, negotiation and mediation skills
  • Current unrestricted drivers licence

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
