About the Role
Joining our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team, you will support 4 males with disability living in shared housing in Clarinda providing various supports including personal care and daily living.
The successful candidate will have previous experience supporting individuals with high medical and high support needs and must be able to commit to the permanent part time roster below:
Roster splits: 37:00/43:30 – This roster is a mix of morning & afternoon shifts. No Sleep over shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow person-centred support plans and behaviour support plans respectfully
- Participate in community activities and encourage clients to perform daily living tasks
- Track and document an individual’s progress through thorough record-keeping
- Build and maintain positive relationships with our clients and their families
Skills & Experience
- Experience supporting people with high medical and support needs
- A commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs, skills, abilities and personal goals of people with disabilities
- The ability to develop a positive relationship with people we support and to support their Individual Personal Plan
- A current First Aid
- A current unrestricted Driver Licence
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Clearance.
