As a Case Manager within our Family Based Care team in the Far North Coast NSW you will collaborate closely with children, young people, their carers, and families to create and implement case plans that strive towards achieving the permanency goals of those we support.

In this dynamic role, You'll build and maintain strong, functional relationships with both the children and their families, ensuring that every voice is heard and every need is met. Your efforts will be pivotal in supporting and monitoring placements, guiding carers in their foster care journey and helping them implement effective strategies that best support the children and young people within their care.

This permanent full time position can be flexibly located within the Lismore, Ballina & Tweed Heads regions (Including hybrid on site/remote arrangements). Regular travel within the Far North Coast region is required and a company vehicle, inclusive of personal use, is provided.

Role requirements:

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree such as Social Work, Social Welfare, Psychology or similar (A qualification is desirable but not essential for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants with relevant experience)
  • Previous case management experience within an Out Of Home Care (OOHC) /Child Protection setting
  • Experience supporting Children & Young People with disability, who have experienced backgrounds of trauma, abuse and/or neglect.
  • Working understanding of the NSW Permanency Support Program
  • Understanding of trauma and its effects on children and young people
  • Current  drivers’ licence 

To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy.
