About the Role

Joining our Lifestyles team, you will provide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities in their homes, with travel between clients and working short, split shifts required.

Successful candidates will hold a qualification in disability or similar, have prior experience as a support worker including providing bowel care and have availability for short shifts (up to 2 hours) across early morning (6:30am start) evening shifts (finishing 10pm) on weekdays.

You will be required to travel to different locations to support people with disability living in Castle Hill and surrounding suburbs including The Ponds and Kenthurst.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assistance with daily living (including personal care)
  • Domestic assistance (support with household chores)
  • Maintain and monitor person-centred plans
  • Documenting and progress note keeping
  • Community access and transport (with the use of your own vehicle)

 

Skills & Experience

  • Cert III in Disability or similar
  • Experience supporting people with disability 
  • Previous experience with bowel care
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Confidence and experience in manual handling and providing personal care
  • Australian Drivers Licence and reliable, insured vehicle 
  • Current First Aid and CPR
  • Willing to complete basic household chores
  • Passionate about delivering Person-Centred care

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Clearance.
