About the Role

As the Program Officer, you will coordinate our group program at Ngatti House, ensuring it aligns with the Recovery Star framework and positively impacts the lives of our residents.

This is a permanent part time position, requiring 16 hours per week, with flexible working days, within a community-based homeless youth service located in Fremantle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a group program timetable that reflects the Recovery Star outcome areas.
  • Build a comprehensive library of potential group activities aligned with Recovery Star goals.
  • Create a group program plan for 3-12 months, sharing updates and managing budgets effectively.
  • Gather and analyse resident feedback to continuously improve group offerings.
  • Monitor group attendance and report on outcomes to inform future programming.
  • Foster relationships with external agencies for community engagement and peer support opportunities.
  • Explore new group options through ongoing networking and outreach.

Skills and Experience

  • Unrestricted drivers’ licence.
  • Experience in recovery-focused environments and program coordination.
  • Strong understanding of service user confidentiality and a strength-based, culturally appropriate perspective.
  • Proven ability to manage priorities and deliver quality outcomes on time.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders.

To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy.
