We have an exciting position in LWB’s Culturally Diverse Psychological Service supporting people (aged 12+) from CALD backgrounds with mild to moderate mental health concerns who live in the Perth Metro area.
The role of psychologist is to provide evidence based treatments using culturally appropriate and sensitive approaches.

About the Role
This is a maximum term, part or full-time position to 30 June 2026 (with the likelihood of extension). There are three office locations, Leederville, Langford and Mirrabooka.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver psychological treatments using a stepped care approach offering psychological treatments, underpinned by shared decision making and individual needs.
- Implement evidence based practice through providing expert knowledge and support to achieve optimal outcomes for individuals from CALD backgrounds following a person-centred approach which is sensitive to local contexts and their cultural needs.
- Provide face to face consultations and outreach sessions/consultations in an environment that is suitable for the individual.
- Provide structured, measurement based, relevant and timely feedback to the individuals primary care provider and/or referring practitioner along the course of care.
- Maintain up to date, accurate and comprehensive documentation in accordance with legislation, standards and internal policy.
- Participate in meetings, reflective practice sessions, reviews and case consultations.
Skills & Experience
- Relevant degree qualification in Psychology and full registration with AHPRA (provisional psychologists will not be considered at this time).
- Demonstrated experience communicating bilingually with a diverse range of people (eg Arabic/Farsi, Vietnamese, Burmese, Mandarin/Cantonese, Hindi/Urdu)
- Experience working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Experience undertaking psychological testing, assessments and providing psychological therapies covering a broad range of presentations.
- Demonstrated experience managing client risk and adhering to clinical governance standards.
- Driver’s licence.
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check.
