About the role
As a Family Contact Worker within our Dubbo hub team, you will be responsible for facilitation supervised contact meetings between children & young people and their families/kinship connections. You may also be required to provide transportation (utilising your own vehicle), along with direct support and mentoring to children & young people.
These roles require flexibility to work a variety of shifts, generally of 3-5 hours duration, across a 7 day roster (including mornings, afternoons, evenings & weekends)
Key Responsibilities
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in relative field or similar, or relevant experience and skills to undertake the position with the desire to complete relevant qualifications.
- Current Australian Drivers licence
- Current Provide First Aid (HLTAID003/HLTAID011) & Provide CPR (HLTAID009) certificate/s.
- Previous experience working with children & young people
- Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Sound computer skills – including email, Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality.
To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy.
