About the Program

Multi Systemic Therapy (MST) is an intensive, evidence-based therapeutic program that works with young people who are at risk of (further) engagement in the youth justice system and /or the out-of-home care system.   MST works with the young person’s entire ecosystem—family, school, peers and community—to address young people’s challenging behaviours, including offending, educational disengagement and alcohol and drug misuse to strengthen families and create sustainable, long-term change. Grounded in strong research, the model focuses on empowering families, building strengths, and addressing the underlying drivers of challenging behaviour, with delivery in home and community settings.
