Role: Therapeutic Youth Worker (Therapeutic Supported Independent Living)
Employment Type: Permanent Full Time
Location: Greater Western Sydney
Hourly Rate: From $37.73 per hour + Super (Dependant on qualifications & experience)
As a Therapeutic Youth Worker, you’ll be a key support for young people aged 16 - 18 to prepare them to successfully transition to independent living by acquiring problem solving and independent living skills. You will be part of a dedicated to team working to ensuring a safe, homelike environment where these young people can thrive. You will have the opportunity to apply your case management skills along with facilitating individualised life skills programs.
This is a permanent full time position Monday – Friday. Hours of work are from 9am to 5pm. Hybrid arrangements are available with one day working from our Norwest office. This role will involve travel across the greater Western Sydney region. Access to a pool car, phone and laptop are provided.

Role requirements:
- Hold or be actively completing a Diploma in Community Services or related field (or higher) OR hold relevant experience and complete Diploma qualification offered by LWB. (Please note: a qualification is desirable but not essential for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants with relevant experience)
- Experience working with young people who have experienced trauma and disadvantage.
- Demonstrated experience in forming and maintaining professional relationships, building trust and advocating for young people.
- A current Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) certificate
- A current unrestricted driver’s licence
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check, NSW Working with Children Check and NSW Residential Care Workers Register check.
