About the role
Reporting to the Workers Compensation Manager you will provide advice, support and assistance to the organisation and ill/injured employees in relation to LWB’s Injury Management, Return to Work (RTW) and Health & Wellbeing Programs. This is a part time (three days per week) maximum term opportunity through to September 2026 where you can be located anywhere in QLD or NSW with the flexibility to work from home or one of our offices.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate Injury Management and Return To Work program activities to achieve safe and timely return to work for our employees.
- Establish strong working relationships with all stakeholders to promote collaboration and a high degree of visibility with all stakeholders around the RTW process.
- Maintain and monitor legislative compliance ensuring that all sites are compliant.
- Provide timely and accurate information to injured/ill employees about the RTW process and associated information on workers’ compensation requirements and entitlements.
- Support the relevant insurer or Claims Agent in the diligent management of LWB workers’ compensation claims.
- Participate in regular claim review meetings with Manager, Client Services and the relevant insurer or Claims Agent.
Skills and Experience
- Strong experience in Workers Compensation or CTP, including demonstrated experience creating strategies and accessing supports / programs to support injured workers with a prompt and safe return to work.
- Completion of regulatory approved/endorsed Return to Work Coordinator training or willingness to obtain.
- Proven experience and willingness to engage with key stakeholders including doctors, injured employees, insurers and operational management.
- Demonstrated experience in managing competing priorities and to deliver high quality outcomes within agreed timeframes
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check.
