About the Role

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is supporting people with disability in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living assistance. We are looking to fill 1 permanent position, you must be available for all shifts:

Week 1

Tuesday 3pm to 7pm

Wednesday 7am to 4pm

Friday 3pm to 7pm

Saturday 4pm to 9pm

Week 2

Friday 3pm to 7pm

Saturday 4pm to 9pm

Sunday 11:30am to 9pm

Key Responsibilities

• Big tick if you are a fan of the Newcastle Knights or Jets!
• Support clients with mental health challenges, behaviours of concern, and complex needs

• Assist with personal care including bathing support, toileting and dressing
• Advocate for client choice, expression, and active supports

• Support clients 1:1 in community outings including markets and rodeos
• Availability for sleepover shifts is essential

Skills & Experience

• Ability to implement positive behaviour support strategies
• An unrestricted New South Wales driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
• Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop
• A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011

Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
