About the Role

In this Disability Support Worker role, you will provide person-centred, active support in an on-site, concierge-style shared support setting at the heart of Gosford CBD. Assistance is available 24/7 for unplanned or irregular needs, ensuring residents can maintain their independence and daily routines while having support for those ad hoc moments when unplanned assistance is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer adaptable, on-demand support to address residents non-routine support requests
  • Assist with daily living tasks, personal care, and daily routines
  • Listen, learn, adapt and build supports around what matters to the individual
  • Offer personal care assistance that isn’t time specific, including dressing and grooming
  • Maintain a calm and empathetic approach during unplanned situations
  • Offer reassurance and emotional support
  • Support with mobility, ensuring safe movement around the home

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in concierge-style shared support models
  • Ability to think and respond quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • An unrestricted New South Wales driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop
  • A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011

Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
