About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager this role is responsible for supporting client referrals, reviewing services, maintaining program data, and providing leadership and peer support across the team. You will work closely with service users, carers, and stakeholders to foster inclusion, strengthen community connections, and achieve positive outcomes.

This position is offered as Permanent Full-Time and based out of our Townsville office.

About You
You are a compassionate and proactive professional with strong communication and leadership skills. You can balance program administration with hands-on support and thrive in a team environment where collaboration and initiative are valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of programs that build social networks and community inclusion for service users.

  • Monitor and respond to changing needs of service users, adapting services as required.

  • Provide active support to carers via phone or face-to-face.

  • Review direct support documentation and provide guidance to team members.

  • Role model positive behaviours, foster teamwork, and provide on-the-job support.

  • Represent Life Without Barriers in internal and external stakeholder meetings.

  • Contribute to team meetings, supervision, and continuous improvement.

  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, legislation, and funding requirements.

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in health, welfare, or related field and/or relevant experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with service users, families, and diverse communities.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with initiative and problem-solving ability.

  • High-level written and computer skills for preparing plans, reports, and correspondence.

  • Conflict management skills and commitment to confidentiality.

  • Current First Aid Certificate and Driver Licence.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required clearances.
