About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will be providing person-centred active support to people living with disability. Supported Independent Living (SIL) is supporting people with disability in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living assistance.
We are currently looking to fill 1 permanent part time position. You must be available for the following:
Week 1
Tuesday 7am to 9am & 3pm to 6pm
Wednesday 7am to 9am & 3pm to 6pm
Thursday 7am to 9am & 3pm to 6pm
Sunday 9am to 5pm
Week 2
Monday 3pm to 9pm
Saturday 3pm to 9pm
Sunday 3pm to 9pm

Key Responsibilities
- Provide high care behavioural support and follow behaviour management plans
- Full personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming
- Medication assistance
- Safe wheelchair transfers and transportation
- Engage in client interests such as hydrotherapy listening to music and creative activities
- Promote client choice and independence in all interactions
Skills & Experience
- Ability to drive a small bus for client transportation
- An unrestricted New South Wales driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop
- A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011
Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
