About the role

Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Risk and Resilience you will deliver and execute a fit for purpose business continuity and business resiliency preparedness program. As a key member of the Risk and Resilience Unit (RRU) your key focus is to deliver an integrated business continuity strategy, systems and tools and facilitate targeted testing and exercising programs to strengthen resiliency across the organisation.

This position is a permanent, full time position, location flexible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and maintain LWB’s business continuity and resilience program, policies and procedures.
  • Develop entity and function-based business continuity plans, impact assessments, IT platform, systems, tools and templates to support managers to identify, maintain, update and validate business impact analysis.
  • Drive standardisation, consistency, quality and effectiveness of Business Continuity Management and controls.
  • Design business continuity scenario, testing and exercising programs.
  • Develop and evolve LWB’s approach and tools for business continuity management working proactively with the business.
  • Provide guidance, training and coaching for LWB managers and staff on all aspects of business continuity management.
  • Prepare routine reports on business continuity performance.
  • Oversee business continuity and resiliency management initiatives consistent with goals and objectives under the direction of the Manager Risk and Resilience.

 Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary level qualifications in business continuity management or relevant field.
  • Significant experience in a business continuity management, operational resilience, disaster recovery, crisis management, emergency management and risk management at an enterprise, strategic and operational level.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing and monitoring a fit for purpose business continuity program across multiple service types and multi-site locations.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing competing priorities and delivering high quality outcomes within agreed timelines.
  • Experience in leading organisation wide change and managing relationships with stakeholders to achieve results.
  • The ability to influence and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including peers, employees, external organisations, funding bodies and government agencies.
  • Demonstrated written communication skills for the creation of reports, correspondence and other material.
  • Proficient ability in the use of Microsoft Office suite of programs.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check and relevant child protection checks per state.
