About the role
In this role, you will support teams across Western Australia (WA), South Australia (SA), and Northern Territory (NT). Reporting to the Head of People and Culture Business Partnering for Child, Youth & Families, you will focus on providing timely advice and coaching to Managers and Leaders. Your guidance will be based on a solid understanding of legislative requirements, a strong appreciation for fostering positive workplace culture, and knowledge of best practice HR approaches to address day-to-day operational challenges.
You will work in a fast-paced, agile environment where resilience and a coaching mindset will be key to your success. As part of this role, you will build strong partnerships with teams and offer generalist HR support while delivering strategic advice to achieve effective outcomes.
The position offers flexibility to work from your preferred location, whether from home or one of our LWB offices. While most of your work will be remote, occasional travel may be required, and there will be instances when you’ll need to work from the office.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with Client Services Managers to achieve their business and leadership objectives
- Provide advice, support and coaching to leaders on a range of complex and sensitive IR/ER or HR issues
- Respond to, and support, issues as they arise relating to complaints, grievances and performance issues
- Respond to general HR enquiries as required
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources
- Experience as an HR generalist and experience in IR/ER
- Understanding of the Australian Industrial Relations System and EEO practices and principles as they apply within the Territory
- Demonstrated ability to develop business partnerships with all levels and in geographically dispersed locations
- Solution focused with strong influencing skills
- Experience working in a fluid and changing environment
