About the Role

Support 3 people in their 50’s with disability living in Supported Independent Living in Carlton.

The people you will be supporting have all known each other since high school and are looking for casual disability support workers who are enthusiastic about providing active support and have previous experience in behaviour support and mealtime management to join their support team.

The successful candidate will have availability to work a variety of shifts across a 24/7 roster including weekends, public holidays and nights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide active person-centred support
  • Follow behaviour support plans
  • Follow meal time management plans
  • Promote client goals through enjoyable activities
  • Provide personal care
  • Ensure safe manual handling and hoisting

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience with modified diets and meal time management
  • Experience with behaviours of concern and following behaviour support plans
  • Strong understanding of and ability to demonstrate active support
  • Personal Care experience
  • Unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
  • First Aid and CPR certificates
