About The Role

We are looking for passionate individuals to provide personalised home care support to older Australians who reside in Cairns, ranging from Central Cairns to Edmonton to assist them to remain living independently in their home. This is a casual opportunity. These hours will be between 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday with no evening or sleepover shifts. You will joining one of Australia’s leading social purpose providers with a dedicated leadership team to support you. Key Responsibilities

Home Care Worker

  • Build positive relationships with clients
  • Domestic assistance such as:
    • meal preparation
    • light cleaning
    • assisting with paying bills
    • assisting with organising appointments


Aged Care Support Worker

  • Domestic assistance duties. This consists of light cleaning duties, changing of bed linen, washing/laundry
  • In-home supports inclusive of meal preparation and assistance with daily living
  • Social supports inclusive of support to attend medical appointments, social activities in the local community, building/maintaining social networks
  • Personal care inclusive of showering, daily hygiene, monitoring of health and well-being (for example, identification of wound care needs, skin integrity, etc)

Skills & Experience

  • Passionate about making a positive impact in our ageing community
  • An Australian Driver’s Licence and ownership of a registered vehicle
  • Willingness to travel between clients homes and reside between Central Cairns, Mount Sheridan, Bentley Park and Edmonton
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment)

Successful candidates will be required to undertake relevant pre-employment checks to ensure the safety of our clients. This includes a National Criminal History Record Check.
