As House Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of one of our My Launch Pad homes in the North West region from Smithton to Latrobe, ensuring a safe, supportive and culturally responsive environment for children and young people in emergency and short term placements.
You will also lead and mentor a team of residential support workers to actively deliver therapeutic support, and complete client records within LWB systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain positive, trusting relationships with children and young people active engagement and interest.
- Be a visible and supportive leader in the home, providing reflective supervision and mentoring to staff to foster a collaborative team culture
- Lead and manage the home in line with the CARE model, relevant legislation, service standards and LWB policies and procedures
- Guide your team in applying Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) techniques when supporting children and young people.
- Oversee staff rostering to ensure this appropriately covers need of the children, young people and the home.
- Contribute to the intake and exit of children and young people entering the home, ensuring smooth transitions to permanent placements or step-down services.
- Complete and ensure documentation is recorded in a timely manner within LWB systems.
Skills & Experience
- Hold or be actively working towards a Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (or similar)
- Current Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) & Provide CPR (HLTAID009) Certification/s
- Demonstrated in residential services supporting children and young people who have experienced trauma and disadvantage
- Proven ability to lead and supervise a team, embedding therapeutic care practices
- Current & Unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check & Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People check
