About the role
The Carer Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for responding to enquiries from prospective carers, maintaining contact with people in the consideration phase, you will conduct initial phone interviews and refer suitable enquiries to our local carer recruitment teams.
This is a casual role with a flexible work from home arrangement. Potential shifts can occur from Monday to Saturday between the hours of 8am to 8pm (AEDT,) You will be required to work a minimum of 10 hours per week. This role will consist mainly of Weekday Evenings, Saturdays and leave coverage as needed. On occasions, you will be required to attend meetings and or training online.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to enquiries from prospective foster carers, guiding and supporting them through the carer enquiry process
- Facilitate and support the initial screening of prospective carers
- Manage and maintain a pipeline of prospective carers
- Utilise Carer Recruitment CRM (Salesforce)
- Utilise Microsoft Applications and Amazon Call Centre
- Work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team
Skills & Experience
- Recognised Social Work, Social Science/Welfare or Bachelor of Psychology Qualification or other relevant qualification or experience
- Experience in working within Carer Recruitment, Engagement or Assessment in OOHC system.
- Demonstrated experience and skill in undertaking child focused assessments in a child and family welfare setting including carer assessments.
- High level communication skills, warm and engaging personality, first impressions of LWB’s approach to foster caring
- High level organisation and time management skills
- Demonstrated application and experience with the CARE model of therapeutic care will be highly regarded.
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
