About the role

Provide active support to people with Disability in Rockhampton across Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Lifestyle settings. The people you will support are looking for passionate support workers who are proactive in providing active support to them in their day-to-day living.

As a casual employee joining our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team, you will support people with disability in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living. You can expect to work across a 24/7 roster. However, available for two sleepover shifts per fortnight is required.

Shifts are also available in our Lifestyles program where you will provide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities in their homes or the community, with travel between clients and working short, split shifts required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow person-centred support and behaviour plans
  • Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities
  • Maintain thorough record keeping
  • Build positive relationships with clients, families and colleagues
  • Advocate for client choice and control

Skills & Experience

  • A passion for working with people with disability
  • Availability for two sleepover shifts per fortnight
  • Ability to work with challenging behaviours
  • An unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Clearance.
