About the role

As a Support Worker in Broken Hill, you will assist our clients to achieve their own personal goals. You will provide assistance with daily living, personal care, provide one on one support and community access for our clients living with Disability. You will work shifts on a 24/7 rotating roster with both active nights and sleepovers. In our lifestyle program, we have casual positions with day hours between the hours of 7am-8pm Monday to Friday. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Day to day care (including personal care) and supervision
  • Meal preparation
  • Epilepsy support
  • Community Access & Transport
  • Maintain & Monitor Person Centred Plans
  • Documenting & Progress Note keeping

Skills & Experience

  • Unrestricted NSW Driver’s Licence
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Sound computer, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adhere to client support plans and complete documentation

To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status during the recruitment process.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
