  • About the role

    As a male Disability Support Worker, you will be supporting two young Male clients who will be transitioning from OOHC to NDIS services. Experience supporting young clients and mental health is preferable.

    The role of the support worker is to work with people and their support networks to provide a range of support including but not limited to;

    • Direct support with cooking
    • Shopping
    • Accessing the community
    • Budgeting 
    • Managing behaviours of concern
    • Medication Management and health related supports
    • Supporting people to develop and meet their own individual goals
    • Supporting people to remain connected to their culture, kin and community

    Please note: Our core business is providing 24/7 support to people in their own homes. Therefore, the successful applicants for this Permanent Part Time role will be required to work across a range of shifts including active night shifts, weekends and public holidays.


    Skills & Experience

    • Unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence
    • Certificate III in Community Welfare, or similar, or willingness to complete this within the first 2 years of employment
    • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain at your own cost)
    • Experience working with complex behaviours
    • Experience supporting people with complex Mental Health needs
    • Completing shift reports and incident reports
    • Passionate about delivering Person-Centred care

    Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
