About the Role

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is supporting people with disability in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living assistance. You can expect to work across a 24/7 roster.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support clients facing mental health challenges, behaviours of concern and complex needs
  • Personal care including bathing support and dressing
  • Advocate for client choice, expression, and daily engagement
  • Maintain flexibility to the preferences of each client you support within their home or out in the community

Skills & Experience

  • Strong background in mental health support and ability to implement behaviour support strategies
  • An unrestricted New South Wales driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop
  • A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011

Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
